The Stringer: The Man Who Took the Photo plot
The photo, informally called "Napalm Girl," shows a naked girl running in terror along a road in the village of Trang Bang in June 1972 after a napalm attack by the U.S. military. The photo has always been attributed to Nick Ut, an Associated Press photographer. But the documentary, based on forensic analysis and testimonies from several surviving AP staff members, suggests it was actually taken by a local correspondent, a man named Nguyễn Thành Nghệ. War photographer Gary Knight and a small team of journalists embark on a search.
