"The Nation's Newest Racket Exposed!"
When newspaper vendor Mike Sanford's grandfather thinks he has the winning ticket, the whole lottery turns out to be nothing more than a scam. Journalist Joe MacIntyre is assigned to the case by his boss to investigate. The trail quickly leads to nightclub owner Tony Franco, a man young Mike gets along well with. But when his grandfather is found dead in his home, his eyes slowly but surely open.
