The Night Time World plot

An omnibus of four creepy stories that together form a single dark fantasy. The first story, "The Backpage," follows a dimwitted man who calls a masseuse he finds on the back page of a newspaper, hoping for a happy ending. "Scarlet" follows a man trying to kill a female vampire. In "Sorry for the Blood," a tormented vampire tries to rescue a woman from a large, naked man. The final tale, "Indictment," centers on an African-American man who wakes up in prison for a crime he can't remember committing.
