I've rarely seen such a slow and dull film. The "testifying in an investigation against him" consisted of a single conversation at the police station (in which she eventually didn't even testify), and the rest was just filler and bluster. No depth, no clarification, nothing.

Bloching manages to give this film just that little bit extra. The film takes a while to get going, but once the central plot emerges, it improves. Certainly, a few individual scenes are convincing, particularly the interrogationin which you see Bloching change and waver between loyalty and truth. That choice then serves as the thread throughout the rest of the film. In terms of the script, it is sometimes told a bit too quickly or is somewhat confusing, but Bloching keeps you engaged. 3.5*.
