Mabel is a young girl who is a great animal lover. With technology, she manages to transfer her consciousness to a robot beaver. In this way, she hopes to unravel the mysteries of the animal world that are beyond her imagination. Mabel soon befriends a royal beaver, King George, and together they try to unite the animals to thwart the plans of a property developer.

Mediocre. The whole idea is quite well-conceived, but the main character isn't very captivating, and the tone is too child-oriented. The main character also gets a much-too-rushed introduction, and despite a nice montage with his grandmother, he never really comes to life. A few supporting characters are likable, but aside from the beaver king , they're all rather bland.
The tone is also striking, as it's definitely aimed at children, though sometimes with a strange mix of dark moments and pitch-black humor (when the insect king is accidentally killed, I didn't see that coming). The film moves along at a leisurely pace, and it's quite watchable with occasionally fine visuals and sound design of nature, but without a real wow factor. The ending is quite long, and my suspension of disbelief was seriously shaken (that flying shark, seriously?). 2.0*.
