Nice drama.

Especially because of the summery atmosphere. Those slightly too-warm temperatures perfectly complement the characters' languid nature. There's also some drama, but most of it plays out in the background or is never explicitly shown. The central theme is the relationship between an uncle who is temporarily babysitting his niece.

The acting is strong, with the always-delightful Joe Odagiri (perfect for his role, too). Visually, it's also well-done, and the soundtrack, though very subtle, does its job well. It's not exactly groundbreaking, but it's one of those films that easily draws you into the atmosphere it creates. Enjoy it with summer approaching.
