After countless lackluster rom-coms by Johan Nijenhuis and others, is the Netherlands now being treated to Mocro mafia films? This run-of-the-mill film doesn't excel in any way. The acting is fine, but the story is extremely weak. While the slang used is somewhat familiar, the director really should have intervened after hearing the "c" word countless times. It was truly inappropriate. The conversations were reasonable, but the lines were often too simplistic and sometimes a bit weak. Furthermore, the scenes in the discos (that's what I call them) added little to nothing; it seemed as if they were edited in to heighten the debauchery. Furthermore, the special effects were often transparent. The ending was extremely predictable, and not very innovative at all. Filmmakers, come up with a better story and a new genre. So, there's not much positive to say about this product, unless it's Cynthia Abma as a judge , but I still managed to leave the room with a small smile. Two stars solely for Noortje's acting, an excellent actress.

A thoroughly messy crime drama from a Dutch perspective with an interesting story, but limited execution. The acting of Waldemar Torenstra and Noortje Herlaar is never credible, and the narrative structure is completely disorganized. For example, "Wraak" begins as a story from Hamza Othman's perspective (who, incidentally, plays the best role), but director Jonathan Elbers then shuffles the plot with a slew of other perspectives. For example, Herlaar is shot dead near the end, yet several characters seem to know where she was in her free time. Several action sequences (all of which can be seen in the trailer) are exceptionally well-shot, and the middle section features a well-constructed scene, but many of the crime elements feel overused and simply nonsense. Olaf Ait Tami plays one of the most over-the-top crime bosses the cinema has ever seen, and the truly impressive parts are quickly cut short. It's fair to say that Elbers at least tries to keep up with the times as a director. Revenge, however, isn't the best example of this.

I don't understand the high rating. This film really doesn't deserve more than 3 stars. It's riddled with clichés. The acting is occasionally subpar. The film also seems unfinished. The ending is somewhat unsatisfying. I found it all a bit mediocre. I gave it 2.5 stars because I was the first to vote, but 2 stars would actually be more appropriate.
