At the end of the 19th century, the arrival of a railway brings the progress that an isolated village has long awaited. At the same time, Oleguer, an unreliable moneylender, arrives in the village. Funny, a film in Catalan (although I think Spanish occasionally came in between certain characters when they were talking to each other). It really is a western but in Catalunya, something that is perfectly possible if you realize that many spaghetti westerns were also recorded in Spain. Although this film is certainly not such a film in terms of tone, more of a quiet drama.

That doesn't make it a good film. Very boring, mostly, few beautiful wide images but mostly shots of the inside, lots in close-up or half close-up and little happens and the people and the dialogues didn't interest me either. Typically a film that you like or you don't, something that could also just be due to the moment because I can't think of any really objective criticism. 1.5*.
