A film that starts off quite slow with a schizophrenic main character and the things he struggles with but which eventually turns out to be a nice (small) thriller/detective film. The first half of the film is more of a drama film actually. Jack Quaid does well, but also comes across as a bit of a wimp in this film, let's hope that this guy won't be typecast too much in the future because their roles seem a bit similar here and there. He also seems to be in almost every new film these days. The film doesn't really excel in anything but Quaid and Morgan gradually develop a kind of chemistry with each other which makes for a nice film because the first half of the film is as slow as thick shit through a funnel. Sounds negative, but the second half and the acting and visual aspect (not special, but the film looks neat) make up for a lot.

Schizophrenic Simon [Jack Quaid] witnesses a kidnapping and reports it to the police. Due to his neurotic behavior and a history of delusions, the investigating detective [Cecile Cubiló] does not take Simon's report seriously. Simon is close to despair when he meets neighbor Ed [Jeffrey Dean Morgan], a former security guard who also struggles with mental health issues. By focusing on the main characters and the way they learn to work together instead of the mystery, screenwriter Sean Farley delivers a refreshing and unique crime film. Not for fans of conventional crime thrillers, but certainly worth seeing. Quaid and Morgan are excellent.

Sweet little movie. I thought "Neighborhood Watch" (2025) would be an action-comedy, but it's actually more of a bromance between two independent souls who have more in common than they think. Series favorites Jack Quaid and Jeffrey Dean Morgan are well-rehearsed. A bit predictable, though. During the credits, I just had a huge grin on my face.
