At age nine, John O'Leary (James McCracken) literally plays with fire. His childhood home burns down, leaving him so severely burned that doctors believe he won't survive. Decades later, O'Leary (Joel Courtney) travels the world to share how he survived and found meaning in his life. The story is too good to be true, but authentic footage (shown at the end) confirms that many of the most sentimental moments are not fiction. A viscous biography with important supporting roles for God and for William H. Macy as a baseball commentator who offers John a piece of his heart. You can't help but love it.
