Due to a minor accident, Cliff [Michael Strassner] desperately needs a dentist on Christmas Eve. He can only turn to Didi [Liz Larsen], who, like Cliff, has personal problems. A series of circumstances leads to a modest odyssey in which Cliff and Didi gain new insights. Duplass once again proves to be a master at writing socially awkward yet endearing semi-adult man-children, and Strassner and Larsen are a golden duo. Original, entertaining, and uplifting. The title refers to an infamous improv sketch Cliff performed in with his former comedy partner Marvin [Rob Phoenix].

A delightful romantic comedy. The story is somewhat drawn from real life. The execution is very strong. The film moves along smoothly but remains captivating from the very first minute until the very end. Not a great deal happens, but it's still easy to watch. The humor isn't overdone and never feels forced. That's also the beauty of the film; it feels like you're simply watching two ordinary people go through a day. The acting is also top-notch. Recommended. 4.0

Christmas for adults.

For those who have experienced it before, or perhaps not. For those who are slowly realizing that not every cup needs to be emptied, for those who have learned the hard way that your friends are the people you have around you when you're not celebrating. For those who realize that your joy is someone else's sorrow. And for those who, despite it all, still believe in the spark, for those who cherish hope, for those who are convinced it will come.
