Shoutai plot

Kaburagi escapes from prison after being arrested as a suspect in a brutal murder case. He keeps a low profile as he travels across Japan, meeting various people. They are interrogated by police detective Matanuki, but each one describes Kaburagi differently. Now that he has been free for over a year, Matanuki begins to wonder who his target really is and what he is planning.
