Fascinating, cleverly constructed documentary, built around a series of recently discovered interviews from 1964 with journalist Richard Meryman. Taylor talks openly and honestly about her life and career, and in particular about the many mistakes she has made, both concerning her many marriages and a number of films that she says she should never have made. It is funny, however, that the films she herself disapproves of can now be considered absolute classics. The documentary paints a beautiful picture of a rare beautiful but at the same time insecure and unhappy woman, who has become world famous against her will.
