Dear Family plot
Nobumasa runs a small factory in a small town. He has a daughter Yoshimi who suffers from congenital heart disease. A doctor tells Nobumasa Tsuboi that his daughter only has about 10 years to live. Nobumasa is devastated that his daughter will not live past the age of 20. Nobumasa and his wife Yoko cannot accept the diagnosis. Although he has no medical knowledge or experience, Nobumasa begins to look into artificial hearts.
