Covers her childhood, her relationship with student leader Alejandro Gómez Arias, the accident that almost killed her and her unconventional relationship with her colleague Diego Rivera. A solid introduction that consists mainly of photos and lively animations, inspired by Frida's paintings and illustrations.

Frida Kahlo.
A documentary where she and her close friends tell the story of her life, without the usual talking heads but instead with her own paintings and some well-selected clips from the appropriate period. For me, as an uninitiated person with her work and life, that worked quite well, and perhaps the animations of the paintings also add something for the connoisseur. Besides that, the film certainly invites you to find out more about her, what an interesting woman and what a life she led. Too bad and tragic that it was so short.
