Shahid plot

"Women. Life. Freedom."

Director Narges Shahid Kalhor no longer wants to have "Shahid" (martyr) as her last name and casts an actress as herself, who has to change the last name. Suddenly her bizarre great-grandfather shows up. A man who was declared a martyr a hundred years ago after his heroic death in Iran, thus leaving his descendants the honorary title "Shahid". He tries to prevent his great-granddaughter from following through with her plan. The time layers merge into each other and a nerve-wracking argument arises between the director and her actress.
