Le Salaire de la Peur plot
In the middle of the desert, near a refugee camp, an oil well catches fire. This puts the lives of the population at risk. The company that operates the oil well sends experts to the site and realizes that there is only one solution to avert the disaster: detonate the oil well with nitroglycerin within 24 hours. For a large sum of money, a powerhouse team is then sent to travel 800 kilometers with two trucks filled with 200 kilograms of explosives. They have less than a day to reach the oil well. To succeed they will have to cross enemy zones and minefields.

For anyone who thinks they can entertain themselves for an hour or an hour and a half with some nice Netflix: skip this one. None of the brilliance of the original is reflected in this hopeless, sad remake. The makers have really understood nothing, absolutely nothing, about what made the original such a great film, and instead of taking something from it, they only looked at some trivial details.
If you want to see some pictures of the MAN KAT1 10t GL in the desert, fine, but the film is also quite disappointing there. Too short, too little. Nice cars, in a world without global warming, without CO2 problem, without road tax, without excise duty on diesel and without toll roads, I would like to have one. Never mind.

Reasonable film shot in French. Fictional country with fictional misery, it is all quite routine, but fortunately it lacks the American exaggeration, which makes the whole thing seem a bit more realistic. Islamic warlords in a country with military rule and the preservation of a community. Corruption...It's all too loose...just enough.

Mediocre action film. The story is a bit clumsy and quite nonsense, but that is allowed within the genre. The plot twist towards the end is a bit silly. The effect is still there. The structure is good and the pace is nice. The film has a few tense moments and the action is decent. A single scene stands out. The acting is decent. Visually well shot with some nice images. 3.0
