Digits of Pi plot

Inspired by Marcel Duchamp's "Anemic Cinema", the director wanted to make a film with a circular frame. This circular composition leads directly to the use of the number pi for the underlying structure. The singing of the digits of pi on the soundtrack pays tribute to "Einstein on the Beach" by Philip Glass and Robert Wilson.
