"Based on a true story about the boxer with the most wins in the history of the sport."
The lightweight boxing champion Willie Pep is followed in the year 1964 by a film crew. Since his retirement, he feels like a good-for-nothing living with his Italian parents, married to a woman twice his age and has a son who is addicted to drugs. In addition, the mountain of debt is piling up. Tired of being forgotten, Pep decides to return to the boxing ring at the age of 42.
