Excellent film about a small funeral director who makes a deal with a major competitor. The outcome is clear in advance, even if you are not familiar with this true story. Nevertheless, this courtroom drama is entertaining from start to finish. Not too heavy and not too light in tone. Great characters and a good cast with Jamie Foxx leading the way. A narrow 4.0 stars.

I thought this was an annoying piece of film that dragged on and on. There was supposed to be humor in it, I just laughed greenly. I've never been a fan of Foxx, and certainly not now, he stresses me out...

Heh, finally a movie that I've watched all the way through. Because what a mess is being made. I think this is a good movie. Even though you know how the movie will turn out, I still enjoyed it. And especially the acting of Tommy Lee Jones and Bill Camp. What actors. So if you are looking for a film without violence, without humor, without sex, without CGI, without surprising plot twists,... then this is the film for you. 4 Stars (and Jones and Camp deserve 5 stars).
