In March of the year 1945, the Japanese army launches a sudden brutal attack on the French garrison. This results in the deaths of thousands of civilians and soldiers. A group of legionaries, somewhat under the influence of alcohol or paralyzed by illness, are hunted by the Japanese as they traverse the bush. They want to reach China in which they find an ally.
