Mercy Falls plot
"How far would you fall to survive?"
A group of friends head into the Scottish Highlands in search of the cabin left for her by Rhona's father. But the further they get from civilization, the worse their situation becomes. That's because a series of bad decisions pits the group against Carla, a veteran whose survival skills - and outright killing - could be too much for even some of them.

Rhona [Lauren Lyle] takes four friends on a hike in the Scottish highlands to the mountain hut left to her by her father [Gilly Gilchrist]. On the evening before departure, the group meets Carla [Nicolette McKeown], a hitchhiker experienced in trekking and who volunteers as a guide. Of course, it doesn't go entirely as planned, resulting in a variation on Dog Soldiers and First Blood. So nothing new under the sun and the acting is inconsistent. Good camera work by John Rhodes and Stephen Wright's atmospheric score offer some compensation and the finale has a nice dose of bravado.
