Missile from the East plot
"The unbelievable story of East German racing ace, Ernst Degner."
Ernst Degner is a German war orphan who became a talented racer and engineer. But Degner and his family are under close surveillance by the Stasi in communist East Germany, until he is given the chance to escape thanks to the ailing Suzuki team. He achieves success as a motorcycle racer at the world championship, but then disaster strikes after a serious crash. The story of this fascinating and complex man is told on the basis of testimonials from, among others, his son.
