"Sometimes to love you have to let go."
After a failed suicide attempt, Casey discovers that he has just inherited a large sum of money from an estranged great-aunt. However, it does not change his depressed attitude. Casey struggles with the fact that his mother is a bipolar schizophrenic and has tried to kill him 11 times. His life, on the other hand, starts to get more colorful when he gets to know the waitress Jess and her daughter Jules better. Together they embark on a journey of self-discovery and healing, trying to leave their family traumas behind.
