Skeletons in the Closet plot

Valentina has been haunted by the evil spirit La Llorona since childhood. When her young daughter is diagnosed with cancer, Valentina calls on La Llorona to cure her. The wish is fulfilled, but the genie can now take possession of Valentina. Gradually she becomes more evil and loses her beloved husband Mark, who ends up in a spiral of self-destruction.
