Vesta Tilley's father is the president of a music house. She watches performances from the wings with great enthusiasm. One day, her father finds her dressed as a boy, singing to an audience of dolls. He thinks her performance is good enough to perform in front of a real audience. As time passes, her story spreads and Vesta's fame leads to marriage to a nobleman.
