Zhi is a slow-moving mammal with a need for speed who wants to save his grandmother's house from demolition. As a rookie racing driver, he has the special opportunity to take on the reigning champion of the rally circuit, Archie Vainglorious. With the help of Gnash, a former racing driver turned mechanic, Zhi must overcome treacherous terrain, rival drivers and unexpected obstacles to prove he has what it takes to become the next great driver.

Zhi [Yimmy O. Yang] is a lorikeet raised by his grandmother [Lisa Lu]. She tries unsuccessfully to curb his love of racing with tai chi, but when racing legend Archie Vainglorious' [John Cleese]'s company threatens to demolish the village and build a resort, Zhi challenges him to a rally. It's good that Archie's old rival Gnash [JK Simmons] can help him, but of course Archie has a trump card up his sleeve. The well-known life lessons about following your dreams, believing in your own abilities and sportsmanship come along in this accumulation of clichés, in which Venokur also serves up a (bad) copy of the Minions from Despicable Me. The homage to a-ha's "Take On Me" music video alone is worth it. Assembly line work that streaming services unfortunately increasingly bombard us with.
