Der Schutzengel plot
The body of sixty-year-old Fanny Hofstätter, who had worked and lived for the Lanners in the local castle for 15 years, is found in a pond in the woods. Initially, it is unclear if her death was caused by someone else or if it was an accident while bathing. Chief Inspector Paul Werner of the Lower Austrian Criminal Investigation Department in St. Pölten and police officer Martin Wagner take on the investigation to reveal the truth.

Very good crime. This comes close to the Scandinavian crime toppers. Nicely put together plot in which an old and new case are linked together. Although it soon becomes clear how the fork is in the stem, it is the details that keep the whole fascinating until the end. Despite the fact that there is little action and tension in it, watching this was more than worth it. Only the question remains: 'Who killed Fanny?'
