In 100 years the earth's surface will be completely exhausted. Budapest is a city with a dome where people don't 'borrow' a body for more than 50 years. After the tragic death of her son, 32-year-old Nora [Zsófia Szamosi] decides to give up her body early as part of a scientific experiment that could make vegetation possible again. Her husband Stefan [Tamás Keresztes], a psychiatrist after all, did not see that coming and asks Dr. Madu [Judit Schell] whether she can use her position to stop the process. A race against time in a landscape with beautiful background animation. The primitive animation of the characters is purposeful, but the lack of expressiveness keeps you as a viewer at a distance. The lackluster voice performances only make it worse.

My curiosity was mainly aroused by the intriguing plot. I like dystopian theories where creativity about the future is given free rein. We are in a world where climate change has probably had maximum impact. People live in domes. Life outside is bleak and dead.

The regime provides for collective euthanasia from the age of 50 to ensure that the rest survive. Those who can plan to end their lives earlier can do so. "Planned" should be taken both literally and figuratively.

I thought the animation was quite OK. Very nice design of the city and the world around it. I also think I understood that the characters were lifelike and the animations were added afterwards. Nicely done. I found the plot itself secondary, but it was entertaining enough to keep you interested.
