Riley, an Asian-American woman in her final weeks at university in New York City, has suddenly lost all ambition. Instead of failing one of her classes, she prefers to go to the pub every night and chase one-night stands. At a party, she meets Leo, a friend of a friend, and Riley can't get him out of her mind. Convinced he's her next boyfriend, Riley becomes obsessed with trying to meet him again. Even if it means moving back home.

A film that's right up my alley in terms of style (I'd say mumblecore). The camera records from a distance, and normal people (the title is very apt) with normal concerns without too much melodrama. All in all, you get a nice atmosphere and a sense of the main character and the people around her, with whom you may or may not associate. That doesn't make every scene equally captivating—certainly not—but overall it's enjoyable viewing and just the right length for this type of film. 3.5 stars.
