The film is based on a true event in Hotan (Xinkiang, China) on April 30, 2021. A 7-year-old boy loses his right arm in a tractor accident. The doctor at the hospital in Hotan tells his older brother that specialists can put the arm back. But that must be done within eight hours. Those specialists are in a hospital in Ürümqi, the capital of the Xinkiang Autonomous Region, 1400 km away. A race against time to life and death begins…

This true story in the far west of China, the habitat of the Uighurs, is quite exciting when unexpected setbacks loom. A fine example of intransigence. The film is not completely devoid of propaganda. However, that is not really bothersome. Not a top film, but the drama is captivating enough.
