Fancy Dance plot
Since her sister's disappearance, Jax has been taking care of her cousin Roki. She tries to make ends meet on a reservation. She divides her free time between her cousin and the search for her sister. To avoid giving her father custody of Roki, Jax combines the two. She takes to the road with her cousin and starts a search with her own hands.

A super fine film based on an authentic drama, about real characters with depth and color, told in dialogues that could have been spoken by real people. Nothing theatrical, but beautiful acting by Deroy-Olsen and Gladstone. Fine work, and there is also the necessary (somewhat black) humor in it.
And I notice that more often when a film is set in the context of the original inhabitants of North America. Yet all quickly a bit more real, more profound and authentic than the usual Hollywood film. I hope that director Erica Tremblay can get some bigger budgets with this calling card, she certainly deserves that.
