For a close-knit group of friends, it is the last summer evening before the start of seventh grade. When one of them suddenly disappears after dinner, an exciting search full of adventures begins. From a chase through their old school and a confrontation with some older bullies to meeting Crazy Marie, the woman every child in the village fears. The evening turns out to be a defining moment between their childhood and upcoming adulthood.

Five friends spend the last days of vacation together before embarking on a new phase in their lives: the transition to high school. Shortly after Tim [Isaac Powell] had a collision with Laurens [Matsen Montsma] while playing outside, Tim appears to be nowhere to be seen. Harvey [Yéray Topcu], Mikela [Pascala Kromkamp], Pink [Layla Zara Seme] and Chrissie [Chloé Bouterse] decide to investigate when they discover that an ambulance has arrived at Tim's house. Does Laurens have anything to do with it? Or could it be his sister bully [Josephine Ardensen]? Is Gekke Marie [Astrid van Eck], a woman living in isolation about whom all kinds of gloomy rumors are circulating, perhaps involved? Entertaining coming-of-age drama is a gentle variation on Stand By Me and relies mainly on the acting of the youthful cast. Kromkamp in particular impresses in this atmospherically filmed and never condescending drama about childhood friendships. Anniek Pheifer has a small, but crucial role in this finally good, but moving family film.
