Arima plot

'Arima' centers on four women and a girl whose existence is disrupted by the sudden arrival of two strangers. One of them is on the run from the other and creeps through the city like an elusive creature, a ghostly presence of an uncertain existence. An injured man with a gun will disrupt the women's way of life in several ways. Set on the thin line between reality and imagination, between dreams and nightmares, fear and desire, the story is shrouded in mystery.

A very vague film of the bad kind, where the director seems to assume that the viewer will understand everything on their own. Even if it isn't explained in the film. A film about a little girl who sees a ghost. The missing and probably deceased brother of another woman. Namely, the good friend of the girl's mother. Who gets into a relationship with a dubious man who is chasing the ghost of the deceased brother with a gun. And then there is the girl from the bar, after which the film is named, but whom you don't get to see because the name of the bar is incorporated somewhere in a vague shot for one second. And that girl sometimes goes to a club where she appears naked with a mask on. And that is where she knows that ghost hunter. But when she says it's a joke, she immediately gets into a fight. And when the mentally disturbed mother of the woman with the deceased brother accidentally asks how she is doing when she sees the barmaid outside, the girl bursts into tears and lets herself be comforted by her mother. Because he does understand her. In short, how vague can you make a film? And yet, actually quite a shame. Because the film had a great atmosphere and enough substance, with nice visuals and good enough acting, to be an enjoyable film. Or perhaps even a very good one. But this director still has a lot to learn. To start with, empathy for the viewer.
