Fine.

Nice to see that in the last few years there have been more films about (and by) young people in their twenties. It's something different from the eternal high school romances. Often not very uplifting films, about people who are suddenly confronted with the harsh reality of making life-defining choices, but on the other hand they are an interesting theme.

Matsumoto is in his twenties, which gives the film a little extra flair, especially heard in the score. Visually it is neat, the acting is good and halfway through there is a fairly strong twist that sends the rest of the film in a radically different direction.

It remains a Japanese drama of course, so it is not that different. The devil is in the details. But a very nice video, quite enjoyed it. Nice to see that a number of young Japanese directors are emerging again.

4.0* and a extensive review
