Sola plot

Laura Garland loses her husband during the war while pregnant. She lives in a large house divided in two. The government is chasing her with the claim that she must take the whole house, if she doesn't they will take it from her. Laura rents out the house to Ricky, a crook who will bring new problems into her life. At least she has a plan.
