Not Just a Girl plot
This documentary looks back at the highs and lows of Canadian singer-songwriter Shania Twain's musical career. The film shows images of the singer during her childhood in Ontario, Canada and at the start of her career in Nashville, the United States. There Twain met her husband, producer Mutt Lange, with whom she made her famous album 'The Woman in Me'. In addition to images of various concerts, the singer also talks about her upcoming sixth album. Artists such as Avril Lavigne, Orville Peck, Lionel Richie and Taylor Swift also appear in the documentary.

Beautiful biography in which Shania herself tells her stories about the past and the present. She has been through enough, which makes it very interesting to watch. From a tough childhood to a fateful accident, from a divorce to losing her voice... Fun facts and more positive things are also offered that are very entertaining to watch. I would say, watch and judge for yourself. I thought it was very worthwhile.

Entertaining documentary about the life and musical career of Canadian singer-songwriter Shania Twain, from her early years in country music to the very successful crossover into pop music. Twain is open and honest in the interviews and certain personal tragedies are also discussed, but unfortunately the documentary does not manage to dig very deep, partly due to the uncritical comments from all kinds of stakeholders and colleagues from the music world.
