"Uncover the corners of reality."

Research shows that an office job is the most depressing job you can have and that farmers are the happiest. That makes sense to me and it's ironic that there are so many people who try very hard in school and university only to end up living such a depressed life. This movie falls under a particular genre I call office horror. This film is not nearly as good as the Severence series, but it does look a bit like it. If you like the series then I highly recommend this movie. That series is much better and more surreal than this film, but this film is entertaining as far as I'm concerned.

Jon Hamm plays his role very well and the other actors all do it convincingly. I don't really know if this movie is right because how can Orson get his job done if he keeps staring at a door that isn't there and staying in an imaginary office.I don't know but it doesn't matter out a lot. The question is of course whether this is due to Orson himself or the environment or a combination of both. This film itself could have been made more penetrating, Orson's world could have been portrayed a bit more intensely. Still, the final shot can be called quite strong, but the film is not a high-flyer either. Visually it is all in order, but it is not exciting or surprising. Well done for a Netflix movie.

Nice film about a man who works in an office and is convinced that there is a room that no one else can see. A fairly dry film and the almost incessant, monotone voice-over fits well within the setting (a gray office). However, the film is quite monotonous. John Hamm is well cast.

Hamm plays a role with verve in which his own brain process leads to an inner world of existence that seems to affect the sense of reality. The environmental factors, read staff, contribute to the escapism that brings him brilliance. The interaction with Gadon who gains insight into his world out of curiosity, is then for Orson, the role of Hamm, the trigger to more distance which results in performances that exceed the skills of his boss. And what happens then. Beautiful cross between surrealism and magical thinking.
