Pinball machines were banned in New York City in the 1940s. Mayor Fiorello La Guardia claimed it is a game of chance, where skills are not required, and thus a form of gambling. Police officers conducted multiple raids in La Guardia's name, confiscating thousands of pinball machines and dumping them into the Hudson River. Decades later, enthusiasts are still trying to lift the ban, including writer Roger Sharpe. During a hearing in New York, he plans to give a demonstration to members of the Manhattan City Council. Will he be able to prove that pinball is a game of skill?

Excellent film about a writer who writes a book about pinball. An entertaining true story about the legalization of pinball, with a somewhat predictable course. Entertaining from start to finish and also smoothly told (partly as a self-conscious fake documentary). Nice characters and a nice cast. A narrow 4.0 stars.
