Condottieri plot

Italy in the time of the Renaissance. The fortress of the Duke of Lombardy is under heavy siege. When the Duke is killed in the fierce fighting, his wife Catherine Sforza flees into the mountains with her son Giovanni. But Giovanni has no intention of ending up with the loss of his mother's fortress.
