Los Hijos de San Luis plot

Andalusia 1832. Ferdinand VII constantly subjects his people to social injustice. Meanwhile, the army proceeds to loot all kinds of works of art. Juan Caballero, a bandit who keeps the hopes of the poorest classes alive, together with Father Gabriel and the young novice Candela, makes a desperate attempt to protect the statue of the Virgin Mary. In the present, an art historian and a soldier team up to investigate the murder of the only person who knows the whereabouts of that statue of the Virgin Mary that has been missing since 1832.
