The Lakehouse Murders plot

Author Elise and her husband Allan are the proud new owners of a cottage overlooking a lake. However, everything changes when Elise's former friend Geena and her husband Lee move to live nearby. Years ago, Elise was in a relationship with Lee, until Geena came into the picture. Geena apologizes and Elise forgives her right away. Then Elise is attacked in the forest by an unknown person.
