I Comete is set during the summer in a Corsican village. There is flirting, swimming, partying, talking and fighting. People discuss football, fellatio and surrogacy. A former teacher gives a monologue about freedom and sovereignty. A cross-section of life in a Corsican village, where tradition is important and community spirit is highly valued despite individual differences.

The film is about how young people and/or the elderly spend the summer in a Corsican village. And as the synopsis indicates, they chat, fish, swim, talk, fight and quarrel a lot. In short, it's about nothing. Didn't see a single interesting person, or a beautiful image or a fascinating statement. Director Pascal Tagnati uses long camera angles, images from afar and emphatically keeps us viewers at a distance. Who are those people she shows? What are they talking about? What do they want with their lives? We won't find out. What is this? New realism? But Pascal Tagnati is no Bruno Dumont or Ulrich Seidel. This movie is an unnecessary waste of time.
