Mothers plot

Anyone who becomes pregnant without being married in Morocco faces a prison sentence. In addition, the women often do not even dare to tell their families, for fear of exclusion and rejection. The organization Oum El Banine in Agadir is ready for them, under the inspiring leadership of the 62-year-old feminist Mahjouba Edbouche. She takes the girls and women under her wing; provides shelter, information and legal assistance. With a view to a safe home, she also looks for an opportunity for the young mothers to come to terms with their parents. Edbouche and her team are closely followed in this documentary.
