"The money or your kid!"

Doo-seok and his brother Jong-bae work as debt collectors. When they confront the single Myung-ja with her debt that she cannot pay, they take her nine-year-old daughter Seung-yi with them as collateral. When Myung-ja is deported from South Korea as an illegal alien shortly afterwards, the two brothers are suddenly stuck with the little girl. They entrust her to an old man who claims to be her mother's uncle. Not much later, Doo-seok finds out that little Seung-yi has been sold to a brothel keeper.
