"You don't die alone in any culture. It is one of the hardest things to cope with this crisis on a human level," says a nurse in the COVID-19 unit at the Erasmus hospital in Brussels. Two weeks after the lockdown started, documentary makers Pablo Crutzen Diaz, Stijn Deconinck and Robin Smit went there with their camera. To show the reality behind the numbers, but also to get the best experience of the mission of the nursing staff during the corona crisis, they followed the doctors, nurses, paramedics and stretcher bearers for three weeks as they do their job excellently.
