Isa and Reuben move in together. Their relationship deepens, but the first signs of weariness appear. Then Isa meets what seems like the perfect match and Ruben can get a very attractive job.

How many more of these movies need to be made... Just the uninspired titles: Love this, men that, everything is this, everything is that. Oh well, it will surely yield something. And that's pretty soon, when I see how cheaply that poster was made, you only need to sell 1 cinema ticket to pay the intern who worked on it for half an hour. IN ADVANCE:
I watched it with my father for his birthday and it was fun. And although it really isn't my kind of film, I still enjoyed myself. Mind off. No thinking, just watching. A true classic Dutch rom/come feel-good film, nothing more. These are part of our culture and that's why I think they should be there. Still, it's often a shame, because I still saw something in this one.
REVIEW:
It is and remains filled with the well-known rom/com formula, yet 'Zwaar Verliefd! 2' is not horrible nor is it very good. It does indeed address a good deep theme, but it is the predictable setup, the matching acting performances and the bright pink ribbon around it that prevent the film from being daring, pushing boundaries and seizing chances. But although it sometimes still offers you reasonably forgettable entertainment, it remains heavy on the basics and is far from a standout.
I give it a pitiful 5.4/10 (2.5*)

Not that bad. What the film does well is approaching the theme in a reasonably mature way. That could have been done much better and sometimes it is all too stupid, but dealing with a new relationship and what comes with it; that is more original than the average romcom. And also much more interesting. But the execution is also sometimes very childish (too much focused on the easy or lame laugh), sometimes moderately acted (certainly Jim Bakkum, although I also don't always think Sloesen is that strong). Visually not very special, sometimes the film drags a bit, the subplot with that doctor is a bit lame. That bit in America is a nice change. 2.0*.
