From Hand to Mouth plot
A young woman is about to inherit a fortune, but must prove her claim to the inheritance before midnight. If she fails, the inheritance goes to her foster brother who is only too happy to help. Meanwhile, a destitute young man encounters a gangster gang when they offer him a ride. The gangsters use the young man as a scapegoat for their crime. They break into the young woman's house at night, who had previously accidentally rescued the destitute young man from the police and prison.
