Bad.

However, you could have guessed it with a poster like this, which gives a certain impression about the movie. If you get the same impression that I got from it, then I can most likely tell you that that impression is completely correct. It was all just a pretty easy elaboration that just doesn't quite add up.

Nevertheless, they do their best here for a film that manages to exceed the average level just a little bit. For example, the film regularly uses effects that manage to succeed quite well towards the finale, but in total, despite the somewhat cheap impression, they still make quite a reasonable own brew of the film itself. Not that it is otherwise very unique, but still just a bit better than the other stuff that sometimes comes out.

The acting is not even very bad, although Hamilton makes a bit of a mess. Her character can be called pretty boring in itself, but her own flair doesn't make it much better. Furthermore, as expected, the plot hangs together like loose sand and almost all attempts to build some form of tension and atmosphere fall dead. The entire first half is mainly build-up and development that doesn't work for a meter. It makes things tougher.

In the end it's a cheap thing that doesn't last too long and will probably leave your brain in no time. Sometimes these kinds of projects turn out to be entertaining, but 47 Hours is rather a rather tiring sit with boring characters and a concept that is well thought out, but is still far too limited. It's only all the way towards the finale that the film really runs off its own page. Otherwise just plain bad.

After seeing the premiere at the Texas Frightmare horror film convention, the film was reviewed by The Film Flamers on an episode of their podcast. It was subsequently published on June 24, 2019. Despite the film receiving a fairly good rating, director Patrick Johnson left three voicemails. In at least one post, he wasn't exactly happy. These voicemails could be heard in a later podcast by The Film Flamers. This under the title "Shooting the Flames Sep '19: When a Strange Director Calls." This was published on September 9, 2019.

A mediocre horror film with elements from Final Destination. The tension is hard to find, and the acting performances also left something to be desired.

Just watched Filmbox.

Nice. Obediently follows the usual story structure of the typical teen horror film, including the well-known clichés.

The two leading actresses do a good job and are fun to watch.

Nothing special for the rest, let alone one memorable scene.

Finale can be called downright weak, without a really satisfying ending.

A fiver, or 2.5 stars.
