Mirch Masala plot
A village in India is visited by a group of soldiers and a tax official charged with collecting taxes. He wants more than that, however, when he has his eye on Sonbai, a beautiful confident woman whose husband is absent for work. When the tax officer gets too close to her, she slaps him and flees. She ends up at a spice factory, where she gets help from the guard and the women who work there.
